Our new exhibition vehicle
A unique fire engine from Japan
With our new exhibition vehicle, we have added something very special to our fleet: an original Subaru Sambar Kei truck from 1991 – one of the smallest fire engines ever.
The compact all-rounder originally comes from the Japanese city of Nagaoka, where it was used reliably by the fire department for many years. We bought the vehicle at auction in 2025 and transported it to Germany by ship. With a mileage of only around 5,500 kilometers, the Kei truck is in exceptionally good original condition – probably one of the best-preserved models in the world.

Compact, agile and full of history
With a width of just 1.40 meters and a length of 3.20 meters, the Subaru is perfectly designed for the narrow road conditions in Japan. Despite its compact dimensions, it offers space for a complete fire department crew and extensive equipment.
Powered by a 658 cc 4-cylinder petrol engine with around 39 hp, the vehicle reached a top speed of up to 113 km/h. Thanks to the selectable all-wheel drive, it also impressed with its high off-road capability and maneuverability – characteristics that still make it special today.
From emergency vehicle to show truck
At the beginning of 2026, we converted the Subaru Sambar in Marktoberdorf into a unique show truck with great attention to detail. It was particularly important to us to preserve the original look and character of the vehicle.
Today, the former fire engine serves as a presentation platform for our products. The rear area, where the fire pump used to be installed, is now home to our tried-and-tested “Hydra” fire department vacuum cleaner. The vehicle is complemented by other accessories and product solutions that have been discreetly and elegantly integrated into the overall appearance.
The special feature: All installed components are fully functional and ready for use – including hoses, suction pipes and telescopic poles. Our show truck thus combines history, technology and practical application in a unique way.
In the future, our Subaru Sambar will be in use at various trade fairs and events. A special highlight is the Interschutz in Hanover, where you can experience our exhibition vehicle live at our stand.
